This creates 2 issues. First, if you teach multiple sections of the same course, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the different sections. Second, some expressions are very long and cause the section view in Gradebook to be very messy.<br />

Consider below, this teacher teaches two sections of Math 7. Yes, the teacher can check the expression for differences, but Gradebook allows you to display the section number which is often more useful.<br />

However, if you have used a category in the past, it cannot be deleted, but you can have moved it to the bottom of your list by editing the name to include "z-". For example, if the category name is ‘Health’, rename it to ‘z-Health’ and the category will sort to the bottom of the list. </div>

For example, you click to open the Score Inspector and it doesn't.<br />

Here is the solution:<br />

<li>Save you work and close your Gradebook</li>
<li>Open windows explorer</li>
<li>Click on you C:/ drive</li>
<li>In the search bar on the top right of this window, search for <b>powerschool_gradebook.properties</b></li>
<li>Once found, delete this file.</li>
<li>Open Gradebook again and your score inspector will be working. It will also regenerate the properties file.</li>

This is particularly important when you are printing a report that must line up (like labels) or keep the same formatting. Left clicking on the view in your print queue opens the document in the web browser which does not render the pdf in the intended format. You will find sometimes labels will no longer line up, fonts will not print correctly or other formatting issues.<div>

<b>Instead, right click on the "View" in the print queue and select "save link as" in Firefox or Chrome or "save target as" in Internet Explorer to save it on your computer. Then find the file on your computer and open it with adobe reader, etc.</b></div>

PowerSchool should reflect this but in many cases I am not seeing that both have been created. If you create one, it will mean your teachers don't have to take attendance for classes that actually aren't occurring that day (e.g. Homeroom Attendance PM or afternoon classes in High School). This will lead to more accurate attendance.<div>

To enter them for your school, you can check each of the students separately...but I would recommend selecting all your students and using the <b>Student Field Value</b> Function to change the field <b>family_rep </b>to a value of <b>1</b>. Then you can go back and remove just the older siblings' check mark by hand.<br />

These occur when the appnode you are connected to needs to be restarted. We have 5 appnodes in the AVRSB, they are the access points to our PowerSchool Server...sorta like the on ramps to the highway to our server.<br />

<u><b>What do you do when you get them</b></u><b>?</b><br />
<br />
The province gets an automatic notification when they occurs so you don't need to let anyone know. They will reset the appnode to fix the issue. However, they can be a real pain if you still have work to do.....so what do you do to keep working?<br />

<li>Logout of PowerSchool/PowerTeacher so you can see the login screen. </li>

Log entries can be entered by all staff in either PowerSchool and PowerTeacher. Teachers only see log entries they have added on a student while administrators can see all the log entries entered on a student.<br />
